The internet works on one device but not another. How do I isolate the cause?

Confirm the working and failing devices are on the same Wi-Fi network. Toggle Wi-Fi off and on, forget and reconnect to the network, and test another website. If only one device fails, the issue is likely local to that device. If every device fails, restart the modem and router once and record the status-light pattern before opening a request.
