My printer says offline even though it is powered on. What actually fixes this?

Confirm the printer and computer are on the same network and that the printer is not paused. Restart the printer, then print a network-status page if available. Many recurring offline issues come from changing IP addresses, duplicate printer entries, or vendor software. Open Technical Support with the printer model if the problem returns.
